We know that by bringing  together different sectors of the community, our coalition can work more effectively to develop comprehensive solutions to your Cobb’s unique substance misuse problems. The Substance Misuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has identified 12 stakeholder groups as vital to the success of any community-level prevention effort. Each month, we spotlight a community sector to feature the important role each plays in developing the framework for our work.

CCAPSA’s coalition building and supporting activities include active partnerships with countywide coalitions representing these sectors as well as individual collaborations.

We also have a history of involvement and leadership in statewide underage drinking prevention efforts, and took the lead in mobilizing other local coalitions across Georgia into a Statewide Alcohol Policy Advocates Workgroup. (See Voices for Prevention.)
